About me
Dr. Brittney Northrop is the owner of Vital Elements Natural Medicine. She is a 2019 graduate of Bastyr University, where she earned her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. She grew up on the east coast, where her journey toward health and healing began. In her early 20s she was seriously injured in a near-fatal car accident, and discovered that while the allopathic medical model was great for saving lives in emergencies, it was not designed for long-term healing. By seeking out alternative therapies for herself, she discovered naturopathic medicine, and found her true calling. Dr. Northrop strives to create a deep therapeutic relationship with her patients, offering a highly individualized approach to medicine that empowers people in their journey toward health. Her areas of interest include herbalism/botanical medicine, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, physical medicine, and mind-body medicine. She has received additional training in biofeedback, Craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, and colon hydrotherapy. Her clinical interests include autoimmunity, complex chronic disease, chronic pain, digestive complaints, and mental health. In her free time, she can be found hiking, foraging, making herbal medicine, studying all manner of esoterica, playing music, and whipping up culinary delights in her kitchen. She lives in Port Townsend with her fiancee and two adorable rescue kittens.
